Hello and welcome to my blog!
For those of you I haven't been in contact with for a while, about 18 months ago I quit my job as the Association Financial Development Director, managing the fundraising programs for 7 branches, at the Channel Islands YMCA in Santa Barbara, CA. I decided to earn a Master's in Public Administration at Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA. It's been a great journey, and I have developed the skills I was seeking when I applied to the school, made some great friends, and feel ready to head back into the work force!

This winter and spring I will be finishing my degree while living and working in Kisumu, Kenya, as a Development Strategist at Ogra Foundation. In Kenya my goals are to help Ogra work towards achieving it's mission, apply the skills I've learned at MIIS in an international setting, and to take every opportunity I can to go on fantastic adventures.
The purpose of this blog is to share my adventures with you. This blog will be updated every weekend. I'm looking forward to sharing pictures and stories of my short 4 1/2 months in Kenya with you!
